The only situation I stutter and have immense fear of is saying my name. I've improved this greatly over the many years and I can often times say my name out. But the situation always makes me anxious. I've tried calling stores and saying my name and it's gotten better but I still believe I need to improve in smoothness and most importantly not being afraid. I liked some of your tips on saying it slowly. Do you have any more tips on how not to be scared when saying a name and conquering this "last word", since names really can't be replaced. Thank you so much and your videos have helped me find a great speaking style!

Re: Stammering – How to Stop Stuttering – The REAL Deal Pt. 2 PROOF

Thanks Umer. Sorry for the late reply. It really is about creating a new style of speaking, both for presentations and conversations. Once you've created these styles, you perfect them and make them second nature. Modeling is a great way to do this. In an interview you simply shift into your presentation style and present yourself using the style you have practiced hundreds of times before. Certainly, affirmations and mental practices play a large role in developing these styles and the confidence that go along with them. Hope this helps.

Re: Stammering – How to Stop Stuttering – The REAL Deal Pt. 2 PROOF

This is more then awesome stuff. Yes, it can be difficult to maintain hope. I think if you have a big enough reason or reasons to speak well, it can help keep you motivated. Also, if you have the support of family and/or friends, this can keep you going. Ultimately, you have realize that you are 100% responsible for your own progress and development. I've tried to put the tools in your hand, but you will have to use them every day until you get results.

Finally, be comforted in the knowledge that you can learn to speak well. Overcoming stuttering is actually not the goal. The goal is to learn to speak more smoothly, fluently and confidently. This changes everything. Overcoming stuttering is essentially trying to change an old habit. It's near impossible. But speaking smoothly, fluently, and confidently is developing a new habit. THIS is much more doable.

Re: How to Start Speaking More Smoothly & Confidently

Thank you for these useful videos to help us overcome our stuttering. Here are my responses,

1. Yes, it can definitely be helpful to read books aloud. But, it depends on how you read aloud. You should practice reading dramatically with emotion and energy.

2. Observing how you speak by watching yourself speak is good, but what is better is to record yourself and then go back and compare your style with your model's.

3. You should have a model to study. Try to mimic or imitate everything your model does and even some of their expressions. This is the fastest and believe it or not, the easiest way to fluency.

Re: PR90D Top Technique Number 2

Thanks Michael, For your contribution to help us speak better. In our college we love watching your video's. As a student of mechanical engineering we have to give lots of seminar. But watching your video made us very confident. I want to thanks you very much as you made us belief that any stammerer can become a fluent speaker.
But i have some Questions in mind
1. will it be helpful to read books aloud to improve fluency?
2.
